Do I need a STATE Fishing license?
No
Where do I get a STATE Fishing license?
A South Carolina fishing license is required for individuals aged 16 years and older. Seperate saltwater and freswhater licenses are required depending on where you plan to fish and what fish species you seek to target. A license is not needed when fishing with a licensed charter captain in salt water. Please visit the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources site for more information on licensing regulations and to purchase your license.
